Hopefully Britain will do well 
I know one of the torch carriers for Winter Olympics...they got to keep the torch too. Free flights to Torino, nice hotel. Not fair

The US usually does Okay I guess. That is very cool knowing someone who is involved! What a dream it would be to keep something so cherished as an Olympic Flame. I would dedicate an entire room for that, if I could. A shrine of some sort. Italy would be a blast to visit. I'd gain a lot of weight pigging-out on all the food there, cause I love Italian food!
I discovered Michelle Kwan has already withdrawn from Women's Figure Skating, because of a groin injury.
In Women's Hockey, I noticed the Canadian ladies smashed the host country's Italian team 16-0! Ouchers! The Canadians take their hockey very seriously.

I already know that India is going to do rather poorly. We're only good at cricket, and maybe tennis and hockey.

You obviously don't know much. India is ranked third in Tests, after Australia and some other country. And they're fifth or something in ODIs. Better than England, at the very least. But I really don't understand how Australia keep their superb form going. They've hardly lost after the World Cup.

I went ahead and moved this thread into the sporting arena. It probably should have been here in the first place. Perhaps we can get more mileage out of it here. There's only so much to be said about a logo.

I liked the summer olympic ones, but the ones from the salt lake games were horrible, these should be better though, they look it so far.
although, it took me till just now to figure out where the second "o" was in the first one.

When I saw that one in a small version the first time, I was clueless for a minute or two. What's that thing in the middle? A ghost? A mermaid?
Why is the "l" a corkscrew?
Then I noticed the guy with the torch. Oh.
