I've got adsl, and according to the website of my provider I have (if I would buy it today) 20 Mbit/s downloading and 1024 Kbit/s uploading. That's probably what I've got. I was wondering if I could measure the actual speed instead of what my provider tells me. |
Goto http://dslreports.com and play around in the test area. You can test you actual connection speed with this website. Lots of fun! _________________

56.6 KB Modem
Dial-Up is always very slow
1.Go to Market
2.Buy a Card
3.Scratch the Card
4.Give Username and Password
5.Wait for 30 secs and then if Username or Password is incorrect than again connect |

Iam stuck with dial up, but probalbly not for the rest of my life. My older bro might be getting a shared net connection between his computer and mine(T3+) which is available in our area for a quite long time. Hopefully ill get it soon. _________________

Cable for me as well. Is there anyone out there who has tried service from Verizon? _________________ Mary had a little lamb, she tied it to a pylon. Ten-thousand volts went up its bum, and turned its wool to nylon. |

Yeah, a ***** server room, exclusively for him.. by the way I have cable..
$12,5 for this:
256 kbps up&down aswell, so I have a transfer rate around 30 K/sec. And it still rocks here. _________________ "Circles have no end!"

Dial-Up. The only DSL provider here is Verizon but aparently I live too far from the box, and Cable providers waaay too expensive even for the min speed. There is also Sat providers but even more expensive and well living were I live the weather is predictable (rain). |

I have adelphia cable. I'm supposed to get 6MBS down and 720kbs up. Which equals 750KB downloading and 90 uploading. But I've been having some problems lately where I can only get 1.5 mbs down and the full up. Trying to figure it out. My friend was having the problem but he kept calling thema nd bugging them and they finally fixed it. So I think they are intentionally limiting peoples bandwidth. I'll hopefullyf igure this out soon. _________________ Sometimes I get the urge to run around naked....then I drink some windex and it keeps me from streaking. |

I'm using Telekom Malaysia's Streamyx broadband service on a 512Kbps connection, and I thank my lucky stars that I'm not plagued with numerous connection problems that I've heard from others before. _________________ Hello? Is this microphone on? Testing testing one two three...

I was origianlly a "Road Runner" subscriber, but when I started my Quixtar business they give you a great deal on "Earthlink".
I did the research and they both run off the time warner cable lines. I was concerned with that because when I would run a bandwidth test on one of thos test sites it always came back with an "awesome" rating.
The speed is exactly the same and I am saving a bunch of money. (kinda like the whole car insurcance thing, but I switched from progressive to Responce and cut that bill in half!)
I reccomend checking into Earthlink if it's avalable in your area. And if you want info on getting the discounts on it through Quixtar, let me know! _________________
