|
|
|
Here's a new idea.
You can buy virtual Google stock at the actual current price for GC$. For example, Google is currently 107.50.
There is a 20 GC$ transaction fee per "buy" trade (no mattter how many shares), so you could buy 10 shares for 1075 + 20 = 1095 GC$.
Learn more about GOOG in the Google IPO Forum. Now you can invest your GC$ and earn!
Here's how it works (we might come up with a better system in the future but here's what I just thought up).
Reply to this post with your order in this format:
= Buy order =
Max share price: 200
Num shares: 10
= End order =
(The numbers used above are examples. Replace with your own.)
If you had posted the above today, you would get 10 shares for 107.5 each and 1095 GC$ would be deducted from your account.
Order will be ignored if share price is over your max. Orders are good for one day only.
Obviously, you can't buy more shares than you have GC$ for.
Minimum order is currently 10 shares (remember, transaction fee is always the same). Also, you can see that this system won't work with day trading. However, you're always free to buy and sell the very next day.
Here's how to sell:
= Sell order =
Min share price: 120
Num shares: 10
= End order =
Order will be ignored if share price is below your min. Again, orders are good for one day only. No transaction fee for selling.
Every day around 5:00 PM PST (after the market has closed) I will execute all orders based on the closing price of GOOG. I will be using Yahoo Finance's historical prices, so it doesn't really matter whether I process now or later.
Keep track of your own profits and losses.

Here's an example of how you make money in this stock market game.
Take jeramy for example. He paid 2249.8 GC$ (including transaction fee) for his 20 shares.
The shares are now worth 131.08 each. He can sell and receive 2621.6 GC$, which means he gets a net gain of 371.8 GC$ for basically no work.
Imagine what would happen if you had invested 5000 GC$ or more instead?
Of course, you could also lose money - that is the nature of the game. You want to buy low and sell high. |

At 129.60 per share, that would cost 1684.8 GC$. You have only 664.50 GC$! No action taken. |

Error - that would cost 16800 GC$, but you only have 2020.65 GC$. No action taken _________________

| There is another one where you can like create a league and have select members join it. We should make one for GC and then everyone can play. |

GOOG is at 182.00 - this is above your max price of 120, so no action was taken |
