I suppose it's good that you got one of the terrorist big shots. Just one question though: If IBRAHIM SALIH MOHAMMED AL-YACOUB was killed by "U.S. Troops", how does the reward money get split.  Does nobody get it, does it get split between everyone, or does the person who launched the rocket/fired the gun get the money.  Or do the marines go in and steal it...

Since he was killed by US troops, the marines get nothing. It's our job. They refer the reward money to someone like a private investigator type. And after speaking with my Master Sergeant I found that he wasn't meant to be killed. He suffered a bullet to his shoulder(a wounding shot, placed by yours truly, USMC!) and he died of malnutrition on the way to the hospital. So basically, we tagged him, and were taking him back to fix him up and take him to jail...but he neglected to get any of the free food we've been sending in

Errr...how long does it take to get to hospital? Surely people don't die of malnutrition in a day or two.

No no no, I mean he was already dying of malnutrition, and after being shot, his body couldn't handle it. And gave out in transport... so i'm told anyway.

I think that the marines should get the money, even if it is their job. I mean, it goes to people that were not even at the scene!

I liked several things stuck_fugu stated. Some observations, especially actions that The United States of America does in regard to policing their politics, I feel were exactly what I had thought myself.
There are countries around the world that WE, the United States of America, could invade, conquer, and reshape politically, financially, and even religiously if we wanted to. The majority of the citizens would not want this to happen. Some politicians and zealous Majority Right folks would think this would be great. I think this would be the opposite of what my country means to me.
What I see in 911 and the events following are similar to "wag the dog" and the cold war fears of the 60's and 70's when Mr. Richard (di-- same first name as our Vice President) Gregory was followed around the US because he spoke his mind and the existing CIA and FBI didn't like that.
The Government claims that the CIA and FBI are just protecting the people from rabble-rousers. Too much protest against the "system" would give fear that the people would rise up and revolt.
Abby Hoffman thought that America would be free if only their children would kill their parents and then law enforcement.
Some fanatics think that children should turn their parents in to their government for disagreeing with their politics and then the parents would get arrested or who knows what. This starts to sound like Orwell in his book 1984.
We need to use our brains and question, even if the questions seem unpatriotic, or insensitive.
We must not accept lies, but we must be brave enough to face the truth, even if it seems harsh. This freedom is always questionable, because what might be freedom to one person could be enslavement to another. |

as long as its not me on the firing line i dont really think anything is inhumane...it will be inhumane only when i get shot and i survive..that would be a great big tragedy...but i think in this day and age we have to desentize ourselves towards death...why bother brain and heart with a whole heap of emotions that cause loose motions?
