Hallo everybody,

I am currently getting an error that Uploading failed after the upload reaches exactly 1 MB. Previously since 2 weeks i never had this problem and uploaded more than 30 videos to google videos.

Since yesterday I tried several kinds of videos (.avi, .mov) etc which i took in my camera while i was on holiday trip.

I you have any clue or suggestion what I should do, please help me.

Thanks in advance,
Viswatez

You could try uninstalling, and reinstalling the Uploader.
(Reboot inbetween.)

Thanx for ur reply. I tried uninstalling, rebooting and then again install the latest downloaded version. Still the error remains the same.

The error appears exactly after uploading 1 MB of the file

Any more ideas ???

Regards,
Viswatez

Hmmm. What kind of connection do you have?
Any chance your service provider is throttling your bandwidth? (It's odd that it's always that even number.)

Anyway, I couldn't find anything in the Help topics. You may have to try going through their feedback forms, to see if they can offer an explanation.
(If nobody here can shed some light.)

I too got the same feeling yesterday. So, tried uploading at office and home also (both unlimited uploading and downloading). I have flatrate DSL internet connection at office and home of 2 MBPS.

Does my error has some relation with the no. of videos (Capacity reached per account) or size of the videos ?

Just check my videos once on google videos page with search keyword my name (viswatez). You can find my videos. If you feel that either i have reached my limit either through size or through number, i will remove some older ones.

That is the onlything i can guess now

Regards,
Viswatez

No, I don't think that could be it.
According to their FAQ:
Quote:
You can upload as many videos to Google Video as you like, without any size or length limitations.

Guess what

I changed the file name and it worked.........quite surprising......

Previously the filename was something like "Brussels_video(2).avi" and now i removed braces and put spaces there. It worked......

Kind regards,
Viswatez

Oops !!! that was not the correct mistake guys......

Sorry.....

Now i tried even with braces also, it worked. But the error is lying some where.

See carefully the both spellings

1. Brussels (all english characters)
2. Brüssels (character u is from german lang.)

it wasn't accepting that special character in the file name. I check it well and after confirmation posting it here. So, when u upload be ware of not including any language specific characters Smile

Hi, I am encountering the same problem. I am uploading an 85 mb avi video but it gets an error at exactly 1 mb upload. I tried renaming the file already but it didnt work. Aside from renaming I have also converted the avi format to wmv format and reinstalled the google video uploader but these things still doesnt work.
