I am new to google talk and am a bit perplexed. It seems you have to have a gmail account to use google chat. The only way to currently get an account is to download it to a phone? This seems a bit odd. I want to have two others be able to use google talk but there is no way to get them gmail accounts since they don't use cell phones with text messaging. Am I missing something?

Once you have the invite, download Google Talk, sign in, add users, and chat away. Smile
