I just found out today that Windows Vista Beta 2 was released for the public. I signed up for a Microsoft thingy so I could download it and it said the following:
Thank you for your interest in Windows Vista Beta 2.
We are currently experiencing a high level of demand and cannot
process your request at this time.
Please check back later for availability. We apologize for any
inconvenience.
I looked around a bit to try and download the English version for 64-bit processors, but I couldn't find anywhere to download it. For that matter, I looked for other versions too, but I couldn't find any place to download them either. I got a direct link to the download from someone's site and it said:
Access denied.
Please go to http://www.windowsvista.com/getready/preview
So does anybody know where I can download a version of it? Preferrably the English 64-bit Edition. Thanks in advance.

Save your temper and forget about the beta Vista. I invested $5.00 for the disc, installed it, and lost all my programs for a very limited OS. I cannot get into the Internet any more, and I cannot access any of my old programs in Windows XP. I cannnot even uninstall the darn monstrosity. Its control panel has no area for removing programs - at least I cannot find any way to do it, so I can get back my old XP. The Microsoft support group is non-existent. I have asked them what to do and how to do it, but their silence is deafening. |

| I installed Vista on a spare hard drive and everything works except for a few things, like the drivers for my TV Card. I'm sure there are probably more bugs, but I haven't found them yet. I hope that the Windows XP files and transfer wizard thingy will transfer my files to the new good vista, when it comes out. |
