how many page views these sites (the one you are advertizing on) get? If the sites have low traffic and they have a lot of ads, chances that your ads will be clicked is low.
Let us know couple of the sites which have your ads and also, what is your site.

In all probability, what has happened is that Google has not yet approved your campaign. Recently, they took almost a week to approve my campaign start displaying the ads!! You can know this by looking at the "impressions" column when you log into your campaign's account, if its showing impressions then your campaign has become active. Just keep pestering them to quickly approve your campaign. Further, its much better to keep the content sites display "off" and only show your campaign for the search results based on the keywords that you have bid on. This is normally cheaper in the long run. Just let me know if you need any more help/inputs. Pravir |

Are you only using site targeted ad's for your account? If you are not receiving any impressions it is probably because your bids are too low, improving the quality score of your ad will also help. _________________ SEO Services UK | Google AdWords Management from a qualified professional |

A few things.
1) Yes, your Ads are probably waiting to be approved. After you've been established for a while, you can try calling them and often they'll get the ads running within the hour. If your not an established adwords advertising it may not work.
2) Site targeting can be very tricky. If you're completely new to adwords, my personal opinion is that it's a risky way to start because there are so many factors that affect the quality of the visitor coming to your site.
3) Depending on your niche and your budget, you want to start with the most highly qualified visitors first. Because...
If the most highly qualified visitors don't take the actions you want them to, the lesser qualified visitors probably won't either.
Quality of the visitor is going to depend on a number of factors including:
a) Where the traffic is coming from - for some markets (especially lower-end consumer markets), leaving search partners on will be important and give you more qualified visitors. For others, leaving it off (such as in technical markets) will be the right choice).
b) Keyword Selection and negative keyword selection.
c) How your qualifying potential visitors in your ad BEFORE they click through. e.g., telling them it's a site for "experts" or a site for "beginners", telling them the price if appropriate, etc.
