Whenever I go to the "Google Box" and I start to enter a search request; a dropdown box with other previous searches dropdown.
If I want to search for Dogs....and I hit the "D" my previous searches
of "Donkeys"..."Deer" ... "Dungess" all show up in that dropdown box.
I want that to stop.
I dont know how to stop it.
Can someone please give me some "easy to understand; easy to
follow" directions to get rid of that feature or - at least - how to
delete those "Donkeys"..."Deer" ... and "Dungess" old entries from that
dropdown box ???
This also happens in AltaVista search engine. (like to get rid of
that, too !!! .... or at least learn how to delete the old search
words)
The AutoComplete - or whatever it's actually called - also works with my AOL mail.....however I DO like it there...
If I should pose this question on another board elsewhere - please let me know !
I thank you, in advance, for your help.

Hi there, if you're using Firefox, you can go to Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> Saved Forms and click Clear Saved Form Data Now. You can also uncheck the only box there if you want to disable Autocomplete for good.
If you're on Internet Explorer then check out this link. _________________ Hello? Is this microphone on? Testing testing one two three...
