the books are free b/c they have ads in them.

Their are a couple other company's like this but I don't know who else.

I personaly like these two sites.  Neither of them will have very modern books, but a lot of classics can be found

University of Virginia - about 1500 ebooks
Project Gutenberg - about 17000 ebooks

You can also try to search for free ebooks on Google and browse through the numerous sites. This will be a good option!
