I've heard a rumor that gmail now has atomfeeds, is it true and how can I use them, (I use firefox for my feeds)

Atom is a type of feed syndication. The two main forms of syndicates are Atom and RSS.
Feeds are read by news aggregators. Firefox 1.0 has one built in.
You can see Pushing Through's feed for an idea, though I'm using RSS 2.0 syntax and not Atom.

It allows people to view the feed's content on another site or through their news aggregator.
I use it to inform readers of site updates.

You mean Gmail RSS Feed?
I do not think it is a good idea. Ths RSS is a opening platform. How to protect privacy and make the mail system security? It is really a problem. |

No, I'm pretty sure they were talking about the atom feed. https://gmail.google.com/gmail/feed/atom
And security shouldn't be an issue, because I don't think you can't access it without a cookie with your login information. Too lazy to test it out though.

But you must login gmail before you can get your gmail rss feed. I do not think it's different from to logon the Gmail. Anyway, You have to login. But the RSS Reader, remember, it's only a READER do not supply the specifically site login function.
How do the RSS/XML files distinguish you from the other Users? |
