Helllo, Does anyone know roughly how long it has taken Google to index the billions of pages in its database?
Also what links does it avoid on a crawl (i.e. css, favicon, javacript)?

Hi
I have installed several Google Search Appliances and I asked this question to a Google technician. The answers was three weeks. This does not include the pages that are presented as “Supplemental Result”
Google indexes about 220 filetypes (the list is the same of the Search Appliance: http://www.google.com/enterprise/mini/fileformats.html ) but it mainly focus on HTML files, pdfs, word processor files and MS Office files
