I have just got a new pc where GD was preinstalled. For some reason I can not search the web with google on this PC. If I uninstall GD, then web search works, but I after I reinstalled GD again, I could not search the web. I can access the main Google page, but when I tries to search it just hangs. I can use the "I'm feeling lucky" button, but I usually don't like to use it.
 
Can someone help me?

Who is the pc manufacture?
Which version of IE are you using?

Which version of Google Desktop are you using? You can find this info from Google Desktop About page.

Hi. the version of GD is: "Google Desktop 4.2006.0825.1629-en-pb"
 
I haven't tried another browser yet, but will do shortly
