I currently reside in Russia, so when I type in google.com it sends me to google.ru. I got around this by setting my homepage to www.google.com/ncr.
However, I have noticed that lately most of my search results favor UK sites and not US sites. I figure somehow Google has determined that if I am an English speaker in Russia that I must be from England and want to see those sites.
Do I need to "fool" Google into thinking that I am sitting in the US when I do my searches from Russia? How can I specify that I want results from sites which are registered in the US?
Thanks, Jeff

there was a very long discussion about this at searchenginewatch, but with no results.
I believe your only option is to use a proxy from the usa. _________________ Dondor

Go to www.google.us If you want Google.com results, I think that is as close as you will get, I'd imagine the US only results would be pretty similar. _________________ Managing Director of SEOCO
