Hi everyone I have a problem that is probably self inflicted or probably as a result of my lack of knowledge.
My O.S. is Win Xp Pro using Firefox ver 1.5.0.8
I cannot send gmail message from a webcam security software, Active Web cam ver 7.7 which has a home page of http://www.pysoft.com this company tells me that the problem is centered on my ISP and the only smtp info that I can find is as shown below:-
Programme requests 'outgoing web server' I have used smtp.googlemail.com on both port 21 & 25. I send from my email address xxxxxxxx@gmail.com to the recipient (same address) I have tried & failed with different recipients. Programme also asks if 'Authentication is needed' I tried without authentication and with it. Authentication asks for 'account name & password' I used my gmail address of xxxxxx@gmail.com and my p/w. Send email still failed. Can any one help please.
