Okay guys.... my mom's computer has some serious problems. It is pretty important that we get it fixed, as she uses it for things such as banking and archiving information. I try to log on under one of the users, and at random times I get one of the error messages below, and I just get a frozen screen, or 1/20 times I get into Windows XP but it is acting very strange. Any suggestions?
Recieved error messages:
1. A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking the license for this computer. Error code 0x80004005 or 0x800705aa or
0x80070002 or 0x80090019
2. Userinit.exe (and seemingly other executables) Application error.
The application failed to initialize properly (0xC000012D) Press Ok to terminate
3. Windows Product Activation
Some system files are missing or damaged. You cannot logon at this time. Please use your installation CD to reinstall or repair
Windows. Error code: 0X80040507
4. Windows cannot load the users profile but has logged you on with the default profile for the system.
Detail: Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.
5. <random> is not a valid windows image
6. Parser message: unknown element type U at line 907
7. A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damages to the computer
8. Virtual Memory Minimum Too Low: Your system is low on virtual memory. Windows is increasing the size of your virtual memory
paging file. During this process, memory requests for some applications may be denied.
9. Parser Message:
Value creation failed " at line 422 (also 438, 685, 903 - and yes that quote is supposed to be there by itself)
10. C000021A Fatal system error - winlogon - The Windows Logon Process System process terminated unexpectedly with a status of

well randy, at this time i would say update windows, run adaware, spybot search and destroy, some kind of antivirus, (update them first) and if all do not vix the problem, try to do a repair on windows with the cd. _________________ http://www.thrillnerdshosting.com - Your Start to the Internet |

| I have been sitting in front of this thing for a total of about 10 hours now. I am going to system recovery to the day my mom bought it. I fortunately was able to save most of her important data. I am going to wipe it fresh and load in most of the data that I saved for her. Her banking will still be accessible as well as some of the important business info. I am tired of trying to save it all. I've tried everything I know to do and searched about 999,999,999,999 forums. |

| I did a non-damaging system recovery which saved about 90% of everything. Everything else I backed up on CD so the computer is running fine and everything is there. |

Here you go: Service Pack 1 Parser Message: Value creation failed" at line 472" error when add/remove programs is opened This error can occur after installing SP1 when you are running a non Microsoft visual style and the folder containing the customised styleshell.dll has a differing name from the themes name (as shown in the appearances tab). To get rid of this error you can switch back to a Microsoft Theme or go to /WINDOWS/Resources/Themes/ and rename the shell folder to the name of the visual style shown in the appearance tab. If you have a theme with multiple variations you must make this change for each subfolder containing a differing styleshell.dll file
TRY THIS IN RECOVERY CONSOLE - IT WORKED FOR ALL MY CUSTOMERS HERE AT DELL.

| Kewl! I've got a customer's computer right now that had the error code 0x800705aa, took the drive out, cleared all temps and temp internet files, cookies - followed by a virus check ( it had 21 virus!) now I just get a winlogon error - which will probly lead to the non-destruct overload! Glad you fixed your problem! |
