Hi.I sent my URL to google 7 weeks ago, but it's only partially indexed, there is no description. How long does it take to get completely indexed by google? The URL is the following:

http://www.spaxchange.net

Thank you.

Normally it doesn’t take long to get indexed by google if you have the right Meta tags.

It can take a while to get a new site index. You can hasten the process by obtaining inbound links from a high-PR site.

I submitted around the first week of March with my site name as a keyword in the meta's, it appeared as the site in a key word search 3 days ago.

I've heard of a concept known as the sandbox that google uses to keep new sites, possibly spammer sites out of circulation, but they eventually indexed it.

MSN and Yahoo indexed me almost right away.

Well for the last site I have put on the net I didn't waited long about a week.. now google just goes normally. I have noticed from the last 4 website that I opened this month the indexing goes slower only in yahoo...
All this is relative cos if you have a dynamic site with a lot of script vars in your URL it takes more time and sometimes just an eternity. Sites with mod rewrite go faster just like ordinary HTML pages. Indexing takes time so just wait and meanwhile get some quality links to your site. The rest is God's will...

If your site isn't listed within the first 45 days then there's something seriously wrong.

Hi Julien64 Smile
(et naturellement bonjour ŕ la France Wink

I've had just a quick look on your site and I've noticed a small detail in your robots.txt:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /css
Disallow: /js

In my opinion its better taking this :
User-agent: *
Disallow: /css/
Disallow: /js/

(reference : http://www.robotstxt.org/wc/norobots.html )

wishing always the best Smile

@Julien64: Just another 2 questions :
Are there googlebots visiting your site ?
(often the bots searching first to the robots.txt and you can see it in the logs)

What's
<meta name="googlebot" content=""> ?

I didn't use these tags with "googlebot" or "msn" in it

Has anybody made good experiences with these tags ?

To address a few things - there is no "sandbox" but instead, it's a time delay filter applied to all of your IBLs (In-Bound Links) - to prevent link spamming your way to the top of the SERPS.

To get your entire site indexed, make sure you have a sitemap that links to all your important areas of your site.

Depending on how popular your site is, the Gogoel Freshbot will come as many times as 12 times in one day, or it may only visit your site once a week. During the Freshbot visit, it only looks at your popular pages (usually the home page), and it captures information regarding your other links.

When Googlebot comes, it's the deep crawl - in which it will follow all the links it found when it came from the freshbot.

hope this helps.
