Google could sit there looking through my window and I wouldn't care. I don't care about spyware (though I don't like adware, and I don't like how spyware slows me down so I get rid of it) I really don't care if companies know what the consumers want.
As long as I don't get any spam or phonecalls I'll be fine.

From the moment I have nothing of really special interest, I don't care about that "lack of privacy". Sometimes you have to pay a price to get something, and I think 1 Gig. is a nice offer to take into consideration... (but if I start receiving silly emails as the famous "enlarge your *****" ones, I'll have to change my mind  ).
Anyway, you can always use tools like PGP (as somebody said before) and protect yourself. |

I personally really don't have any problems with security and Gmail. I've heard too many times how Gmail "THOROUGHLY LOOKS THROUGH YOUR MAIL AND BOMBARDS YOUR ACCOUNT WITH ADS". If someone has problems with a computer scanning their email and throwing in related ads, then they probably shouldn't be talking about what they are in the first place.
At least I'm pretty sure it's a computer... It is, right? o_O
Apart from that, I really have no other concerns... For me, the pros outweigh the cons by a lot. |
