My dad recently got a gmail invite from my uncle, who is a meanie and won't send me one..
Anyway, my point, my dad said he'll send me one, however, he doesn't have that feature in his account. Is that true?
I want to get one, but I can't. Now I'll have to save money to buy one at GC shop. Is that still possible? |

I think that they've pretty much stopped giving out invites... I iknow I didn't get one with my account

Invitations are not a feature of Gmail accounts; I mean, they are not a part of the service, they just "appear" in the accounts as a kind of "gift", and you can make use of them.
If your father has received no invitations in his account, then it's going to be quite difficult for him to invite you...

The shop run out of Gmail invitations, so I'm afraid you'll have to wait... |

| I have also not received any invites. If i get i will donate 75% to this forum. however my feeling is that the google is coming out with IPO, either they will send more invites or open up the mail for public. |

I'm sure that here in a few weeks, gmail goes public. Either that are they are waiting for a huge feature set.
Either way I think most people will have to wait for P-Day to get that @gmail.com title. |

| actually, i read off of somewhere else that he might have an invite that he could spare, only he isn't looking in the right place. first of all, don't look in your inbox, google doesn't send them within a message. your dad's invite could be located at either the top of the screen, near the address bar, or it could be located on the left hand side of the screen, underneath a list for inbox,trash, etc. |
