Hehe, I see allot of people make allot of money with their websites. I'm currently studying so the performance of my AdSense is nothing more than interesting  My website has been up for 2 months now, I make about $2 a month. The main problem is getting traffic to a website it seems.

Yes, the main required thing to earn more with Adsense is "Traffic". If you are getting good traffic, you can think of other things like "website theme", "ad placement", "ad colors", "relevant ads" etc. etc.
so first try to get more and more traffic.
You may follow any or all ways of getting more traffic.
1. Join other big forums and post real stuffs, having your site name as your signature.
2. Submit to search engines and Directories.
3. Word of Mouth
4. Link exchange
etc. etc.
And do let us know how the things go for you.

after i read all the postings here, i'm amazed on how some of you can make 3 digits per month while most of us (including me) suffering and struggling to get the first 100/mth ... i believe the most important thing is traffic ... but how to get traffic if your page rank is still zero ... hope to get valuable advices from all the experts/specialist ...

All my pages have PR0 and I have about 1000-1200 unique visitors and get around 3 dollars/day. The main thing to get traffic to your site is not PR but content pages. My site has 16000 indexed pages with unique content and visits are constantly going up.

hell kulinar, i'm amazed that you've 16,000 indexed pages ... mine is less than 100 pages as i DO NOT copy from other articles ... i produced it daily thru my own research - because like you i believe in contents ... my daily unique visitors are about 200 only ... cheers ...

Yes , i agree the PR is not very important. You need to index as many pages as you can to google index.
