Um, no. It only installs the adware if you choose to install the sponsor package. It gives a choice whether or not you want to support Message Plus!, and you can install it anyway, even if you refuse to install the sponsorship pack. It also clearly highlights the spyware controversy in its agreement form. |
I'm not talking about the search bar. I had my suspisions about MSN plus before I tried it out, so before I installed it, I disconnected from the internet, did a spybot and ad-aware scan, removing any spyware and adware that I had. Then I installed MSG plus (opting not to install the tollbar), and did another scan, and hey presto, I got more spyware. |
Could you please state the name of the spyware that was placed onto your system? |
Nope, sorry. It happened quite a while ago.
