| Yeah, you've been able to see this for the longest time, but no one cared to mention it. It's old news to me. There are better pictures too than the ones that were posted. |

How do we know the pictures are even of area 51?
It looks like a normal air force base or possibly just an aerodrome to me. And if it was supposedly hidden, why is there a named public road going to it? |

Heh, conspiracy theorists everywhere...
Why would US government blank it out?
Look, if there's something secret/important for security, you even haven't heard about it. Example: NSA - much morepowerfull than CIA...but nobody knew it even existed for several decades. |

Just to be on the safe side. Sometimes the janitors will sneak the UFOs out, and race them around in the parking lot. _________________

Everyone who uses Google Earth could find out where it is. And I don't think it would be much use to the terrosists, because they are hardly going to be a match for the US army. _________________ Football Rumours | Gloog |

Maybe if everyone actually paid attention in today's world and maybe did a web search, you can find the location of several places without using Google Earth/Maps. Type in Area 51 and you can get it's location. Type in the White house and you get it's location. Just because there are pictures that you think are now there (which they have been there all the time) you think it will cause global coruption and destruction amongst everyone in the entire world. _________________ Info Sharkz

Think about how old the images are? The only thing it gives away about Area51 is the location. But I soppose it gives you the layout of the area as well, unless they rebuilt it? Nah!
Just to go the opposite of blanking it out, Google placed a placemark there by default! Don't need to look for it, they give it to you!
Erm ... any US residents feel like driving down there? I would but i'm in Australia _________________ Google is searching for you ... |

People go near Area 51 all the time. It's been a tourist destination and nutball mecca for decades.
They stay in town, drive to nearby hillsides, and shoot miles of videotape of the night-time skies.
But if you get any closer, you'll soon find a network of video surveillance, sensitive seismic detection, and many, many people with guns. Past a point, the 'Deadly Force Authorized' signs are clearly posted. They mean it.
Knowing where it is, is not particularly useful to the curious. _________________
