I'm quite new to GoogleCommunity, although I use google for cca. 5 years, have a good experience in it (maybe except products ``younger'' than 1 year, and adwords. I don't say I'm a master, but I know some stuff..
I saw there are a lots of to-be-bloggers in this topic, but if there's a free space yet, I'd like to blog as well. Thanks a lot for the opportunity!

What about a blog on living and working in China? I'm already writing a daily journal on my experiences here and have plenty of spare time in the evenings. The only question is; will anyone really be interested?

I think that's a good idea. You write well, and I think that's as important as the subject matter (which is pretty interesting, as well).
However, I don't think the subject has much to do with the Google Search blog, and this thread.
