oh i definitely read some fluff, but fluff is necessary, no point making life all serious, thats just not fun Smile. My favorites ranging from the Redwall series (a bit childish but it still tickles my fancy) to the Bourne series (the movies were less then adequate but lets not go there).

However one of my all time favorite substance books is by Scott Adams (the writer of Dilbert) called G-d's Debris.. for such a small book (about 150pages) it packs a punch...i for sure recommend it

I am a self-confessed "bookalcoholic" Once I had to go with reading books for a month.... THAT will never happend again! Normaly I am reading more than one book at the time, right now it is Terry Prachett,Hogfather because I love his humor and a swedish woman called Carola Hansson, about how big sacryfices things you belive in can take. In my bag I always carry something about filosofy, at the moment Dali Lama, (a book by him, not himself!)

"Bad Twin" by Gary Troup - I'm a "Lost" fan, and I was curious. Book's not bad, not great.

"Everyman" by Philip Roth. I've admired Roth's work for years, This isn't as excellent as his previous book, but it's a pleasure to read anything he writes.

"A Necessary Evil" by Robert Stricklin. This is such a good thriller that I'm reading it for the second time in a month!

Well, I'm reading The Broker by John Grisham. You might have heard of it before.
And as for why, its just because I need something to do. Its the vacations, and I haven't got much to do (other than homework).
I heard of the book before, and so... er... got it.

I just finished this autobiography entitled "A Child Called It" and it was definitely one of the most heart-wrenching stories I have ever read. It tells this story about a child who had a good family until his mom became an alcoholic and abused him very badly. He was forced to live in the basement, ate leftover food, wwore rags for his clothes and physically battered. Even his siblings were forced to treat him as dirt. Eventually he was rescued by social workers when some neighbors found out about his plight. So the child grew up traumatized and lived in several foster homes. This story shows the cruelty people are capable of and the power of forgiveness and redemption. This true story will surely leave the reader in tears.
