Just a tip folks, when quoting someone, let's try to cut the post size down by deleteing the excess and just keeping the important part that you are quoting and replying to.

I grabbed a copy of Win XP Pro x64 Edition when Microsoft was
beta testing it, and as far as Windows goes, it was pretty good. I've
also used Fedora, specifically Core 3 & 4. My video card died,
though, so I'm not doing a whole lot on my computer these days.

OS x 10.4.5 at the moment and I have a copy of ubuntu on the hard disk I need to burn to cd to experiment with a live version of that software at some point

I use Windows XP Pro SP2, so much that i used to use Home, just for testing which one is better. I found Home that its got a lot bugs, and less security. Iam hoping to get the 64x edition for my 64 bit pc.

Too expensive.

I'll hopefully be getting a Vista compatable computer, but I'll just run Linux with Xgl on it. Smile

I use windows xp unfourtanetly lol. its what I had as a kid and learned to use. to lazy to learn anything else

Well yeah its of course Windows XP and its Proffesional.Ya truly it took me time to understad the difference between XP Home and Homeless.Well that would be the first guess any human having knowledge about computers.And by the way the present cost of Genuine Windows in Indian rupees hovers around Rs.6000 to 7000.Its cost has indeed dropped in the months.

So do I. But what I don't like about Windows is that it often crashes, just like that. Its difficult when you're doing something important, and have to start all over again. Sad
