A land of fortunes some say.
A land of opportunities some view.
A land of capitalists- politician's point out.
A country with lot of debt some economists echo!
A leader who is on the mat- Asian tigers speak!
Fatherland revisited in cloaked manner- some strategist writes!

what you say?

Polite thing would be to first tell your opinion.

Or perhaps you want to start a flamewar and bare no responsibility for it?

Yes, the question does look rather like raw meat on a sharp stick, doesn't it?

I'm just curious about the identities of these nameless 'strategists, economists, and Asian tigers' that would presumably be to blame.

You forgot China and India.

I remember reading somewhere that the old Russia was 1/6 of the world.

Are we talking about geographics or populations of people?

That is all! Very Happy

Hey, Canada's just the right size!
Look at it this way. If we weren't here, the US would be twice as big! Smile

The first five are surely right. How many people would believe me if I told them that the U.S has poverty like in other countries?

Despite claims of being the most industrialized nation, most powerful and so on..there are hundreds of thousands of people who cannot afford health insurance, heating in winter, or three meals a day. America is like any other country, slighty better in some areas but just like the rest in most. It needs a complete revamp to get its act together. Has to move from a wealth-driven country to a welfare-driven one.

Trying to sum up any nation as large and diverse as the US in a few, hackneyed clichés is pointless.

As are flame-bait threads like this one.

The U.S didn't earn all that for us without anybody's help. India, under British role contributed the highest number of troops to the allied forces. How many people know that? I live in the U.S and acknowledge the role its played in history. But, attributing every victory to it is defnitely not right. A lot of countries played a constructive role in the war.
