Now that ain't such a bad upgrade, it's been needing it for a while. _________________ Info Sharkz

It's fine the way it is. Lots more mods (which the user would use) would just clutter the site. Modifications to help admins/moderators run the site easier would be fine, and modifications to increase security would also be good. And the forum is very much alive.
How can you call a site with 12000 members and tens of thousands of posts dead? _________________ Football Rumours | Gloog |

Support open-source.
If PHPBB gets 111 votes, donate the cost of vBulletin.
You can buy the big RIAA-loving label BMG's cd for $18, or you can buy an indie label's cd for $10 or less. Of course, there it's a different product, as in different music, whereas phpbb and vbulletin have equivelant functionality, as openoffice.org does to word, the gimp to photoshop, etc. |

^^Very true. Besides that, I think phpBB is much better than those other two.

I'm holding my vote as well, and maybe a change is good, well, I'll still have to see the difference between vBulletin and Invision Board, I'm not familiar with both, see you'll hear it from me later =) |
...
EDIT:
Forgot about the free speech restriction. |

Think I've just changed my vote from neutral to MyBB!
I am saying...
• ... no to vBulletin! - used it since late 2002, took me 3 years to get comfy with the format, and until now I still don't like it that much.
• ... no to Invision! - too plain and generic, no matter what the template is. Bores me to death!
• ... no to phpBB! - imho, it's the most popular system and it's the most overused system. Forum can be unstable if too many mods get installed. Plus, there's the chance of security risks, phpBB is the Microsoft Windows of internet forums.
• ... yes to MyBB! I've fiddled around the admin panel before, it's easy to use. Love the style and functions of the forum. Two thumbs up!

I don't know, but the latest email announcement was quite ominous. _________________ Football Rumours | Gloog |

Sorry about that. It has been 7 months since this poll, though, so maybe it's time for a new vote. Personally, GC$ and the Rich Text Editor are bothering me. I feel like vBulletin would at least solve those two issues. _________________ Google Search blog |

I don't like the Rich Text Editor.
The GC$ could do with reseting.
I think the GC$ should be reset because the shop isn't really working because of it.
There's people who have tens of thousands of GC$, but most people have only a few thousand. So things would either have to be added to the shop for huge amounts that only a few could buy, and wouldn't really attract more people to post, and if it was cheaper, then the rich people could buy out the shop.
I like the GC$, it's just they're starting to get a bit pointless because of the huge differences in account balances. _________________ Football Rumours | Gloog |

So, I take it that this is a formal request to have all of yours removed?
I'd be happy to help. _________________

Well no, it's just if all the GC$ was reset, then everyone would be equal. _________________ Football Rumours | Gloog |

That doesn't sound really fair, now does it? All it does is taking away the gc$ from everybody. The google community $$$ are a treat you earn by posting. Resetting all accounts will take away the treat people have been collecting. People with a large amount of gc$ obviously posted for a certain amount of time and collected those gc$ fair and square. Doesn't seem right to take that away just so everybody would be equal.
Besides, everybody here is equal (not counting mod/admin privilages). The amount of gc$ doesn't change that. Everybody collects them at the same rate. Sounds equal to me. _________________ I love new messages, don't you? |

Obviously I like having a big bundle of GC$. I was just trying to think from other peoples' perspective. _________________ Football Rumours | Gloog |
