Hello,
Here the info you need to investigate my issue further:
Following your advice I have:
-Cleared my browser cache
-Deleted my cookies
-Tried using different computers to check it was not due to the computer or network: in a cyber café, at work, at a friend's house, from a different country (UK,France), using IE 7, Opera 9
-Tried over a period of 4 weeks
>Result: exact same issue

I am not attempting a purchase, I am wanting to sign up for a google checkout account, therefore I come from this website:

- The items in your shopping cart (you can provide links to the items)
No items are in my shopping cart because I don't even have an account yet
- The date and time of all attempted purchases
No attempted purchases but rather dates I tried to setup an account: yesterday around 14.00 GMT, but I did try for the past 4 weeks from different locations and times of the day.
- A sequence of steps to replicate the problem
1-go on Google Checkout website:https://www.google.com/accounts/Serv...2_SmB_ltlv_1_0
2-type in my Google account name (*****) and password then click on "Sign in"
3-the page to enter credit card details appear with error message at the bottom (screenshot attached). I cannot register my card and cannot do any other step of the registration process

The one I am currently using at Work (even if also tried from various platforms and locations)
Windows XP Pro 2002 SP2
Internet Explorer 6.0.2900.2180 sp2

Everytime a sign up is attempted

This in my opinion is due to an account problem, not the platform I am using.
