I use Firefox with SeoQuake 1.4.0 Extension which has plenty of useful features.

You don't have to go to some site to check page rank, you will have page rank displayed in you task bar when you visit any page, and even more.....

I recommend installing Firefox and download extensions: Web Developer 1.1.3+, Live Page Rank 0.9.5, HTML Validator 0.7.9.5, FireBug ..... These I'm using every day for web development.
