Kerry wins that debate - there is little doubt. BUT, does winning a debate make a person a better president?
The answer is an emphatic NO.
Kerry says that the war in Iraq was a colossal mistake AND YET he thinks he can create an international coalition to fight this war. What?! Does he expect to ask other countries for their help in fighting a war that is a "mistake"? Note that HE TOO supports war in Iraq, agreeing that Saddam Hussein needed to be removed from power.
Kerry says that war in Iraq will not prevent terrorism like that which occured on September 11, and AT THE SAME TIME he agrees that thousands of terrorists are in Iraq and coming into Iraq.
Kerry supports homosexuality and the use of taxpayer funds for stem cell research that kills unborn children in their earliest days.
Kerry has changed his position on a number of issues many times. For him, it's mere popularity contest. He will flip-flop to agree with whatever people tell him. His foreign policy is to pass a "Global Test" before taking action to protect America.
DO YOU THINK FOREIGN COUNTRIES CARE ABOUT AMERICA? Why do you need their approval to defend this country? You'll never be able to please everyone.
Kerry may be the better debater, but he would not be a better president.
