i don't know if there is a post about this, but my very cursory search didn't find it. please point me if i missed it.

so, i have a page that has some high search rankings for specific words. i am interested in moving the page to a different domain. how can i maintain the same rankings.

for example, if i use a redirect page for some period of time, will the rankings eventually be passed on to the new page? (i.e., not the redirect page) And how long might this process take to transfer the rankings?
