I haven't receive any gmail invites lately...
Maybe they are saving them for new users or for Xmast....
Don't really know about it...
I think they will go live soon but not too soon, Gmail still needs some testing, has a lot of bugs still....
So some they will see Gmail as a public service or maybe a paid one... No one knows...
I just hope they let us users keep our accounts...
