Google Community - View Single Post - How quickly does the google find out links from forums?

hi everyone,
i have a link to my site from this forum. so i want to know how quickly the google comes to know about this? and show the links after i type "link:www.mydomain.com" in the search? is it also related to the google crawl rate? depends on when the page(where i have put my link) is crawled?
