Let me fill you in on the "lockout". Last year the average salery was $1.8 million. Because the saleries are getting way out of hand some teams actually lost money last year. The owners hve had enough and said thatthey won't pay the players unless the get a salery cap. A salery cap means that the players salery can only get so high. For some reason the NHLPA (National Hockey League Players Association) is dead against that idea and won't even listen to the owners' proposals if it has anything to do with a "cap". So the lockout will continue until even-ground is reached or it is brought before arbitration (court). They won't bring it to arbitration because both sides think that they will lose and have to suffer the consiquences. So it's gonna be a while.
Let me put it this way. "you're not gonna see NHL hockey for a long while."
