Hi,

I know this is a really, really basic question...

I'm new to Google groups. I've found a couple of threads that I want to post a reply to, but they all just have "reply to author" but not "reply."

At first I thought it's because they're really old, but one was 2006.

Why would a thread just have "reply to author?" Do the threads get closed after a period of time so that there can't be any new posts?
