It's a good idea to put audio and video into your website. Some people have a stigma about it: that it's just too complicated. I always thought blogs and podcasts were the same thing. The key is that people are now on broadband connections. Text is like showing them a black-and-white TV when there are color TVs.


Audio is really easy. Just get a microphone and record it with Audacity, which is free. I'm not talking about video here: video can get to more advanced levels. But people want to create a written webpage because "that's what I learned 3 years ago." Most people who say it's too hard have never tried.


Audio is a lot easier to do. You're able to really set the mood with your tone and voice, and they can hear you. Mixed with text or a PDF file, you've got something you can put on your blog, and it also gets out to iTunes and the podcasting world. Putting your content out there is automated.


The response to objections is: like it or not, the broadband revolution is here, and it's all about audio and video. I do a lot of video, but audio is still a good one. The UK right now is exploding. My friends just went from slow connections to fast, and they're making tons of money. More people want more audio and video, not only to entertain them, but to get their attention.


Most people have trouble writing words. For many of them, it'll be easier to talk than to write. A lot of people have lost the ability to write.


What I did was take my audio content, have someone transcribe it, and break it into articles for me. I can't write. I can if I have to, but it's usually going to be a salesletter.


I've said the information once already; why not just leverage that content again? Have someone transcribe it and put it into article format.


To me, it's really audio and text. It gives you 2 modalities: voice and text. I'm hearing you in my head. A lot of people are doing 6 or 7 things on the computer. What you're doing is really smart, and allows you to stand out from the crowd.


I'm a writer from birth, but I don't even write any more. You spend a lot of time to write it and edit it. You don't have 6-8 months. In the meantime, put it down, maybe get it transcribed. Rather than doing a blog-- there's just no freaking way they're going to sit down and do that-- they can even go to a studio. Maybe $30-$40 an hour. Two hours, $60 bucks. Maybe $200-300 for a great mic. Now that it's done, record 5-minute chunks.


Great. Eight 5-minute chunks. Answer questions, one question per 5-minute chunk. Hit the save button, and now they're scheduled out for a month. Some people can wake up and do that. Are you doing a seminar? A product launch?


You'll see it on my blog. I've already got recordings before the event, and I record audio to stage things before the event.


I'm good at improv, but a lot of people are better at scripting it and planning it. That's what's cool about blogs. In the past, you'd have to load that file, HTML it, my God! Now you can schedule it on your blog to post automatically.


Yeah, you're working with people. Explain to people what you're going to be teaching them at the BigSeminar in a few weeks.


Let me just say, simple is really hard to learn. I've learned it by getting bashed, doing things wrong. I made the mistake of making a product with 8 steps, eight 100-page workbooks. People went away because it was too big.


I really wanted to build a place where people could come in and build a done deal. I can look at someone's deal before they even get any deals. How are you planning to bring it out so that someone else can market it for you?


I have people who, in 2 weeks, are already on their way to doing something. They don't want to hear the story about your product. More importantly, you should explain to them in 30 seconds to 2 minutes and have them nodding their head "yes".


It comes to looking at the deal, and then really inciting your partners.


I have people saying affiliate marketing is too hard! If you don't want to adapt, and become a Burger King person, fine. But to make money here, you need affiliates.


You need to incite your affiliates. Your customers are your best affiliates - they're the asset of your business. I'll show you how we integrate audio and video on our sales pages.


Armand, I was at a point of doing 10% of revenue in a deal. My buddy's doing $100 million. It's fine for him, I'm not jealous. And by the way, nobody thought he could do it. He's a passionate entrepreneur, and he didn't give it up.


They're working with all these deals, just like I did with my own agency. What I did was open Dunn Deals. I'm giving them a place where they can access their deals.


I've got a studio with people in my office, but I'm giving them a very simple system to focus on. I call them "done deal, or no done deal." People come in, and I can grill them, and the audience votes on what the best deal is. The best part is, "Forget this fluff". The deal: is it done or not?


A tank of gas is $50 now. Why are you selling a $20 book? They're still doing it. It's not about you being good enough. This is what people really have to get over. Dunn Direct Media. If the price point was right, they could do a lot better.


That's where I blog to, that's what I talk about. These are people who actually want to get their feet wet and learn. I'm doing 5 projects right now.


These people have no experience. There's no silver spoon. In 1994, I was an artist by birth, a writer, I didn't know anything about marketing. I learned about writing copy. I realized: Golly, I have an attitude against people who write copy like that!


I'm down with people looking at your business and your offer, and going: boom, boom, boom, done.
