Consumerreports had HP and Toshiba on top

PC Mag had IBM/Lenovo (at one point) some 200 times as durable as all the others...I can say, my ol' A31 Thinkpad as been a real workhorse and has taken many falls and kicks, and has a really comfortable keyboard.

Mac is gaining ground ... that's probably my next ... but a bit pricey
