You opted in to receive emails from Administrators. If you disabled this option in your User CP, you would not have been sent this email and you would not have received it.

I apologize, but I truly believe the info he's providing could be useful to a lot of people, though it's certainly not for everyone.
If it's not applicable to you, simply delete it.
