Analytics question
Hey everyone,
I'm sure this has been discussed on this forum before, but I'm not actually looking for an answer to what the difference between these two metrics is. I think I have a pretty decent grasp on their definitions.
Rather, I'm seeing a discrepancy on my Analytics with a specific web page.
It's telling me these stats:
Stats: 20 Pageviews
11 Unique views
00:00:17 Time on page
100.00% Bounce Rate
10% Exit Rate
Okay, now my question is: if the 10% of the people that viewed this page, exited the site, shouldn't the Bounce Rate be 90%? How can the Bounce be 100% if not everyone actually bounced?
Bounce Rate seems to be defined as the people leaving the site within a timeout session after viewing the particular page. Whereas Exit Rate can simply be people exiting the page, but going onto another page.
Any help would be very appreciated. I'm under a deadline with this Analytics report, and I want to make sure I understand that before submitting it. Thanks!
