I use FireFox ver 2.0.0.13 to access GMail. I am a new user. I imported my Thunderbird e-mail address list. I want to switch over to only use GMail, but I have encountered a problem.

When I begin composing a message and begin typing in the addressee's email address, auto-fill does not work. If I add a name/email address into the list from within GMail, and try to use it then auto-fill works. Apparently there is a problem with the imported addresses. When I review the address list, I do not see any problem with the imported addresses. Can this problem be fixed without re-entering all addresses?

Any enlightenment will be appreciated.
