I feel as though you have had a bad experience with PPC?

What did you use?

Google Adwords?
MSN AdCenter?
Yahoo Search Marketing?

I have created greatly successful campaigns for each PPC outlet and have no complaints however out of the 3 i don't like Yahoo. I don't like the way they charge ahead of time. You don't know what your getting before you pay for it so thats kind of shady to me.
