There are lots of things you can do. One biggie is getting quality back links to you. Forums, Blogs, text ads on High PR sites are three very effective ways. Good SEO, keyword and meta tag optimization is key as well. You can buy traffic from traffic vendors, but be careful. The visitors need to come from different and unique ip addresses.

Content is also key. You need good keyword rich content that reads well for humans. The search engines love to see fresh, relevant, informative content. They are getting smarter about recognizing good content vs. keyword stuffing.

Just a few ideas you can consider.
