migrated servers, lost google rankings
hello all... new member here... i saw these past posts so thought i can share my website issue...
we have a major problem here with our Google SE rankings.… in the beginning of the October 2008, we migrated our site to a new server. Nothing changed with our site, we just simply migrated our web site to a new server on a new host network, which gave us a new IP.
A few days later, I noticed that we lost ALL our rankings… meaning we went from page 1-2 to 5-6 and we lost about 90% of our traffic! I did research online about IP switches, and its not supposed to have any impact on our site… we checked everything and we made no changes to our site so I cant figure out what happened or what we can do to fix this…. We used to rank for “Samsonite luggage page 1, #1, luggage page 2, wenger luggage, kids luggage, designer luggage,” to name a few…
I was hoping if anyone could possibly shed some light on this? Has anyone ever experienced anything like this or know anyone that has? Any suggestions would help and we are in a tight situation here.
Thanks in advance!
