Google UK search preferences page bug

When I click on the preferences link on my Google UK homepage in order to change my preferences, the resultant address bar has the correct address, Preferences But instead of taking me to the preferences page I get a message saying that the page at http://www.google.com/rns/b-search/c...t=0&country=uk - does not exist.
There are other strange behaviours resulting from this.

I use a Mac which is not supposed to get viruses, though one can be duped into loading a Trojan horse.

Any help appreciated. I have tried deleting all my Google preferences on the hard disk, deleted the bookmark, nothing working to make this go away. It does not affect my other Mac computers.

Thanks for any help.
