Google Community - View Single Post - Site Review Would They be Considered Mirror Sites

Hi I am new to this forum and was hoping someone could help me some feedback. I am managing 2 sites which have 2 unique URL but the design and contents of the sites are very similar (one is a corporate branding site the other is an ecommerce site for that brand); the sites also have links to each other.

The question I have is this...are they too similar in that google would consider them a mirror site and ban them. Before I continue on SEO I want to make sure new programming is not needed.

I realize that I have not included the site URL and would be happy to provide that information in a private message.

Any feedback would be appreciated.
