Money has screwed religion up, it has also become a playground for judgement and segregation, Control through fear and guilt, I suppose the masses need this sort of thing... This world shall/may end some day because of it. If everyone would take care of their own families we would be a lot better off. This 'I'am my brothers keeper' stuff doesn't work, IMO.
Suicide is selfish and parents do the best they can in most situations, but many of them are just as screwed up as the kids they are raising. Parents and kids have so many differences when it comes to life experiences and their perspective on dealing with everything. It's very difficult to advise someone properly if you haven't been through it yourself. Things change so much from era to era. Life can be hard sometimes for sure.
