and I actually got a response from a gentleman named Nathan Tyler. He said that "Because of the restrictions of our quiet period, we didn't conduct any interviews on the Picasa news."
The statement they issued was:
Quote:
Today, Google announced it acquired Picasa, Inc., a Pasadena, Calif.-based
digital photography company.
We believe digital photos are an important category of personal information,
and Picasa enables users to easily find, manage, and share them. Picasa
complements Google's ongoing mission to organize the world's information and
make it universally accessible and useful.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Picasa users will not
experience any interruption in service.
