I've just tested this again (in case something had changed), by renaming an exe to "txt", sending and receiving in Gmail accounts, and renaming it back.

It's just a security precaution, so that the receiver cannot unknowingly execute a received malicious file.
It's easy to get around if they know what they're getting.
ya... i wanted to mention tht....
try savin in txt and then atachin the files...
it will work...
