Yes, and no. Two separate replies addressing separate issues in two different posts.
I considered combining the two into one post, but rejected the idea as too cumbersome.
For one thing, if someone was to continue either conversation by quoting my post, it would require of them a great deal of editing, to separate the one issue that they were commenting on, in order exclude an unwieldy amount of material.
In a case like this, I believe it a considerate act to make specific, on-topic posts. Even if there are 'two in a row'. In some cases, common sense comes before the 'letter of the law'. |
