You really think goods/people/money/companies are attached to one and only place on this planet? Heck, a lot of IT companies are oousourcing their reserch centers already, and so on...who knows how this trend will look like if US will be still the only place in the world with idiotic patent laws...
And as for your last sentence (and the one from geekerati's post) - don't ellude yourself thinking that I "pick" here at anyone. Actually, I rarely look at who posted something. The only thing which means to me is WHAT was posted, not who did it.
